The First of Many

So we are now officially in our new apartment. With the smell of the elderly almost dissipated, it's beginning to feel like home. I'll put some pictures up yet, but let me tell you, it is beautiful!
The first night went well. We stayed up late, ate ice cream, and watched Lord of the Rings. For any of you who know me, this is fantastic for me. I am an avid LotR fan.
Anyways, so, after the movie was done (we started at 7 and finished at 11:30) we goofed around, unpacked some more and went to bed. Not to sleep, but to bed. Surprisingly, I wasn't as freaked out as I thought I'd be. It's good to know I've grown up a bit since grade 6.
The roomies are heading out to some free classes at the great U of M, so I have to wait for my dear mother to come and pick me up. Ah, life in a city without a vehicle.

On the bright side, a former teacher of my, PK, has graciously put together a reading list for me. Ever since taking his AP Lit class, my normal genre of reading just isn't cutting it. Which is a good thing. I was frustrated at first, because I like to read without thinking, but I suppose I should change that mentality. He has definitely changed the way I look at the world. I really appreciate that.
