Wow. I am really bad at this. As in: really, really bad. Sorry, but my life is pretty inconsistent at the moment. I had planned on writing a big long spiel on Friday, but my dad, whom I love, ended up picking my up from school early, so then I went, and then went to a birthday party, then got home late and went to bed... the gist of it being, I forgot. Because life happened.
To catch you up, on Friday I auditioned for two choirs, the CMU Singers, and Women's Chorus. I was terribly nervous, had already switched my audition time at least twice, and was very unprepared. I didn't have high hopes. I ended up singing Danny Boy, a song I love, but have never practiced as a solo. I suppose it went well, because the panel I auditioned for told me that I was in Women's immediately after my audition. They didn't tell that many people during their audition. We were all supposed to wait for the list to be posted. This gives me high hopes that I also made Singers. Fingers, Toes, and Eyes crossed.
So, after that I had a nice little meeting with my financial adviser. well, he's nice, but the information I received wasn't as much. Apparently I am not taking a 100% full course load. I am 84% in. Well, this freaked me out of my mind, but he assured me that most music students have this same problem. I will now have to catch up in the years to come.
So then I had a weekend. A wonderful, wonderful weekend. But it went by so fast, it's like it hardly existed.
And now it's Sunday evening. We're sitting in out living room. I am on my laptop (duh), Beth is re-re-reading a book, and Sarah's checking out the ol' Bio textbook. Just a regular family on a Sunday night, in the living room.
We now have a dehumidifier!!!!!!! Seriously, it has been like the rain forest in here. One day it even started to drizzle. Ok, I made that up, but you could taste the moisture when you'd breathe. Yeah, it took 3 days for my clothes to "dry" hanging up inside. I say "dry" because the whole place is so damp, my clothes never got to that nice, crisp, clean smelling clothing I love so much. The solution? Take 'em home.
So this is the start to my week. I hope it's a good one.
I'll try to keep up with it on here. No promises.
love,
Me
p.s. you'll notice I tend to jump around a lot while I'm writing. You know, one topic to the next with no real transition. Sorry about that. Can't help it, it's some sort of brain dysfunction.
