So, today is my recital. What does that mean? That means that I, along with 4-6 of my peers. perform a song for whoever shows up. It's mandatory for music students to attend, but anyone can come. So, at 11:30 today, I will be performing, for the first time in about a year, a piece that I love. It's called Sure on this Shining Night by Samuel Barber. It's very beautiful and very short. Check and check.
It should go well. I'm not so much nervous as I am excited. It will be fun to be on stage again. I'll let you know how it really goes.
I also have a seminar today, so that's different. I wouldn't say that I completely understand what it is we are talking about. It's like looking at the horizon. You can see it, and appreciate it's beauty, but you can't reach it. This is a frustrating feeling for me. I like to feel knowledgeable about things that I am supposed to talk about. Oh boy.
I missed my bus yesterday. Don't worry, I still got to class on time. Just not as early as I would've liked. So, that happened.
Off to school.
Ciao.
