As Grandpa Would Say

I have now joined the rat race. Grandpa W sent me a very nice email this morning, reminding me that getting to know people is the best part. As an introvert, I am surprised to find myself excited about this!

So yes, I am now employed. I begin training next Tuesday, which I can't wait for, because I am bored. Unfortunately, this is not coming as news to any of you because my mother TOLD EVERYONE! (Just kidding mom, not actually upset. All the encouraging texts were very nice.)

That's all I have to say, really. I went to see a movie with Nanner yesterday. That was nice. Took me 30 minutes to bus out there, and she and I ended up on the same bus for the last leg of the journey. We saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, because the first movie was in desperate need of a sequel (sarcasm). It was actually quite funny, and filled to the brim with food puns. Mother would've loved it. We giggled our way through the 3D movie, which is how you should see this movie. Visually, it's actually quite spectacular. The time and effort put into creating the characters is quite evident. I've included the video of my favourite joke, which, if you've seen the trailer, you know what I'm talking about.

All in all, it was a good day. I ended up missing my bus stop on the way home, and had to walk a block (down Osborne, at 10:00 at night) to get to the right one. No other problems then that one. It was a nice way to celebrate this whole "job" thing.
